Listening to the Difference


The phoneme /r/ is articulated away from
the teeth. The tongue should not touch
the teeth. On the other hand, the
phoneme /l/ is formed at the front of
the mouth. The tip of the tongue should
touch the ridge just above the upper
front teeth.
