Dear Mr. Earnest:
I have received your inquiry regarding proper business letter format.
The first paragraph of a (7)________ business letter is used to state the main point of the letter. You should begin with a friendly opening; then quickly transition into the purpose of your letter. Use a couple of sentences to explain the purpose, but do not go in to detail until the next paragraph.
Beginning with the second paragraph, state the (8)_________ details to justify your purpose. These may take the form of background information, statistics or first-hand accounts. A few short paragraphs within the body of the letter should be enough to support your reasoning.
Finally, in the closing paragraph, briefly (9)__________ your purpose and why it is important. If the purpose of your letter is employment related, consider ending your letter with your contact information. However, if the purpose is informational, think about closing with gratitude for the reader's time.
Sincerely,
Alice Champagne

Many people recognize that each person prefers different learning styles and (10)__________. Learning styles group common ways that people learn. Everyone has a mix of learning styles. Some people may find that they have a dominant style of learning, with far less use of the other styles. Others may find that they use different styles in different (11)__________. There is no right mix. Nor are your styles fixed. You can develop ability in less dominant styles, as well as further develop styles that you already use well. Using multiple learning styles and multiple intelligences for learning is a relatively new approach. This approach is one that educators have only recently started to recognize. Traditional schooling used (and continues to use) mainly linguistic and logical teaching methods. It also uses a limited range of learning and teaching techniques. Many schools still rely on classroom and book-based teaching, much repetition, and pressured exams for reinforcement and review. By (12)___________ and understanding your own learning styles, you can use techniques better suited to you. This improves the speed and quality of your learning.

If checking the oil yourself, make sure the car is parked on level ground and, with most cars, the engine is cold, so you don’t burn yourself on a hot engine part. (With some cars, the automaker recommends that the oil be checked after the engine has been warmed up.) With the engine off, open the car’s hood and find the dipstick. Pull the dipstick out from the engine and (13)_______ any oil off from its end. Then insert the dipstick back into its tube and push it all the way back in. Pull it back out, and this time look at both sides of the dipstick to see where the oil is on the end. Every dipstick has some way of indicating the proper oil level, whether it be two pinholes, the letters L and H (low and high), the words MIN and MAX, or simply an area of crosshatching. If the top of the oil “streak” is between the two marks or within the crosshatched area, the level is fine. But if the oil is below the (14)_________ mark, you need to add oil as described below. Also, check the oil’s color. It should appear brown or black. But if it has a light, milky appearance, this could mean coolant is leaking into the engine. Look closely for any metal particles, too, as this could mean there is internal engine damage. If you see either of these conditions, get the car to a mechanic for further diagnosis. If you suspect a coolant leak, have the car towed. If everything’s okay, wipe off the dipstick again and insert it back into its tube, making sure it’s fully seated. Close the (15)________ and you’re done.

By clicking the "Hotel Map" tab, you can compare the distance of your potential event sites to any other locations you may be visiting over those dates (i.e., fields for sports tournaments, churches for weddings, and parks for family reunions). Oftentimes, there will be a charge for the use of space for your event called "meeting room/function space rental". This rental charge can sometimes be negotiated depending upon food and beverage, audiovisual, and/or guestroom guarantees. (18)______________, if you are searching a venue for a wedding, the space utilized for the ceremony and wedding dinner may be discounted or provided complimentary depending upon the amount of food and beverage spend contracted.
